This is how we roll: Hospice Cycle to Work day proves a hit

Last week’s Cycle to Work day proved a success, as reported by the event organiser, Hospice Financial Controller Michael Miller. He said:

“As you will have noticed, six elite athletes cycled to the Hospice. Although logistics proved a little tortuous, everyone enjoyed the experience.

“All those who took part were entered into a prize draw and under Sister Rita’s careful scrutiny, Father Wilson drew Colin’s name out of the cycle helmet, winning him a Halfords voucher.

“At the finish line, all athletes confirmed that they were drug-free and hadn’t had any blood transfusions, but there was in one case an element of Weetabix assistance.

“The next window for the Cycle to Work scheme will be Wednesday 4th to Wednesday 18th November. So start looking enviously at that new gleaming bicycle that you have always promised yourself!

“Regards from the peloton.”
