Ride to the Hospice on Cycle to Work Day

Financial controller Michael Miller has organised a cyclists’ get-together in Glasgow tomorrow morning (Thursday, September 3), with those who meet riding in to the Hospice – joined by others along the way.

Here’s what he said: “Some of us are going to meet at the Broomilaw at the bottom of Robertson Street at around 7:50am (not exactly sure where the cycle path starts but the Casino would be a good meeting place) and then cycle on the cycle path into the Hospice.

“At least one person and probably two that I know of and hopefully a whole lot more are going to join us either in town or some way along the path.

“In order to co-ordinate can you please let me know if you are going to join us and let me know your mobile phone number – mine is 07477 702843, Wullie’s is 07946 200170. (If you go onto the Sustrans website the various cycle paths are shown both on and off road)

“You don’t of course need to cycle into the Hospice with us on the cycle path and a few people are in the wrong direction and clearly makes no sense for them to cycle into town first. We will try to do a group photo and perhaps a very short cycle at lunchtime.”
