Message from Brenda Johnstone; Head of Fundraising
Having taken up post here only a few short weeks ago, I am of course still finding my feet. But I know already that working for St Margaret of Scotland Hospice and serving the patients that are cared for here is a privilege and richly rewarding. With the help of the fine team I have around me here in the Fundraising Office, I am determined to use all my experience and background knowledge to sustain & enhance existing fundraising events and develop and promote exciting new measures to help raise the funds needed to allow St Margaret of Scotland of Hospice to continue to operate and provide the finest and highest standards of care.
I know I have a big task in front of me and I know it will be a challenge. But I enjoy a challenge. I recognise that I will need the help of many here in the hospice and elsewhere, and not least from our team of dedicated volunteers. Over the past few weeks I have seen for myself that the volunteers working for the benefit of this Hospice are second to none. They are dedicated, hardworking, enthusiastic, willing and adaptable. They are cheerful and great fun to be around. I recognise that we could not achieve what we do without their help. We need their help to succeed and to meet our aims and goals.
But like any good fundraiser I also recognise that we will need to increase our pool of willing volunteers. So I will also be focussing my efforts on persuading more people to come onboard. And my message will be simple. Please help us to achieve even MORE by becoming a volunteer for St Margaret of Scotland Hospice. You can expect a very warm welcome!
I hope you have found these pages informative and entertaining. If you have questions, comments or feedback, please do not hesitate to contact me. If you wish to attend any of the events we have trailed or offer your services as a volunteer, I would be very happy to hear from you.
