Patient Clothing and Toiletries
Relatives and carers are asked to ensure patients
have an adequate supply of clean clothing, nightwear
and toiletries for thier stay within the Hospice.
Clothing should be marked clearly with the patient's
name - the Hospice cannot accept respoinsibility
for lost clothing.
Laundry Facilities
Families are encouraged to participate in the
care of their relatives. Attending to the patient's
personal laundry needs is a practical and helpful
way of caring. However, there is a laundry facility
within the Hospice for those relatives/carers who
are not in a position to do this. Clothing
must be clearly marked with the patient's name to prevent
clothing from being misplaced.
Religious Services
There is a Church of Scotland Service every Wednesday
morning at 11.15am.
Mass is available at 09.30am and 11.30am every
day except Wednesdays, when Mass is at 10.30am.
Special requests for other services may be agreed.
Should a visitor wish to accompany a relative to
one of the various religious services within the
Hospice, please contact the Nurse in Charge for
details.
The Prayer/Quiet Room
The Prayer/Quiet Room is situated at the end of
St. Joseph's Ward. This is available at any time
for reflection and tranquility.
